Symposium 2022
For the 7th time, the Symposium on Technical Fish Monitoring took place on May 19, 2022, this time as an online event. The focus of the event was “Fish Migration as Habitat,” as well as “Special Solutions for Fish Migration.” Participants could expect a series of exciting presentations on these topics and more. For instance, fish passage facilities as a habitat, based on a study by LFV Bayern, were introduced. Furthermore, the natural bypass channel Rheinfelden presented its previous monitoring results and the development of the channel as a habitat for aquatic and terrestrial species.
In the “Special Solutions for Fish Migration” section, the Baldeney Fish Lift project was introduced from the operator’s side, along with other fish lift and lock solutions. Additionally, the ‘WHOOSHH System,’ currently making headlines as the ‘Salmon Cannon,’ was also featured.
